When the Lelo Gigi 2 came up for review, I had my doubts. LELO bills Gigi as “the world’s best-selling G-spot vibrator,” which doesn’t tell you much about the toy itself.
What is the LELO Gigi 2?
The Gigi 2 is a curved vibrator constructed of 100% luxury-feel silicone and ABS plastic with a flattish, wide end designed to stimulate the G-spot.

When Good Things Come at Bad Times
When you’re waiting for a special delivery like this, of course, you want to make sure you are wearing pants and actual clothes every morning– just in case the mailman comes to the front door. Sadly, the one day I was cleaning the house in a bathrobe at noon was the day the mailman dropped off this package.
I can’t explain my relief that the packaging was utterly low-key, nothing to tip-off the delivery guy to the fact that I am a perverted degenerate except for the fact that I was wearing a bathrobe at noon. C’est la vie.
The real bummer was that this package arrived the same day as my mother-in-law showed up for a 9-day visit! While she had no idea what was in the box, I did, and the suspense was killing me. Eventually, she left, and the fun began. It was VERY securely packaged, with two straps that I needed a box cutter to cut.
Lelo packaging is what other sex toys wish they came in. It’s sexy, sophisticated, and classy.

Unwrapping The Lelo Gigi 2
The Unit
My first impression of the Gigi was that it was really lightweight. The gray silicone is luxuriously soft and supple, but with no give. The plastic handle feels a little flimsy on first inspection, but the unit seems to be well-made. I also mistakenly assumed it wasn’t waterproof because the charging port is open with no silicone plug or port. A glance at the gold-lettering on the back of the box clearly states that it is fully waterproof–hooray!
The Controls
The control buttons are super simple. There is a + and a – on either side and up and down arrows to the top and bottom. I’m not going to lie– I struggled to turn the unit on. I eventually figured it out, but there are several different ways to achieve the same results, which can be pretty confusing.
I recommend reading the instructions and figuring out which interface is best for you. The worst time to try to figure this out is when you’re trying to get yourself off. Ask me how I know.
Extras
When you open up the black box, the foldaway compartment (with ever-so-subtle alligator print texture) reveals a packet of Lelo lube, a black satin bag for storage, the USB charging cable, and a card for the warranty registration. The 1-year warranty is a beautiful thing, but LELO even offers 50% off replacement within ten years. This is an unheard-of testament to the quality of these toys.
The Specs
This is a surprisingly petite toy, especially for any size queens out there accustomed to big, girthy vibrators. This is not that. The Gigi 2 is only 6.5 inches long, and almost half of that is the plastic handle. So, the business end only gives you 3.5-4 inches to insert. It’s only 1.5 inches wide, so again, not a girthy toy.
Whenever you press a button, a little LED light glows just to let you know that Gigi has heard your command and is listening. When you plug it in to charge, the light flashes so that you know it is powering up.
As I mentioned before, the port is easy to see– so easy, in fact, that I initially assumed this was not a waterproof unit, which broke my heart a little. Fortunately, I was wrong. The charger plugs into any USB port, which is really convenient, even if the cord is very short.
Using the Lelo Gigi 2
Let’s stop beating around the bush. You want to know if the Gigi 2 delivers on its G-spot promises, and I want to tell you all about it.
First, use the lube LELO sends with the toy, and never use anything but water-based lube with silicone toys. If you do use a silicone-based lube or oil, you will completely ruin this wonderful, luxe surface and end up with a tacky-surfaced toy that feels gross and collects lint. Don’t turn this wonderful toy into a vibrating cat hair roller.
When I first turned the Gigi 2 on, I could not believe how quiet it is. Like, whisper-quiet. Like you could use this on an airplane under the blanket, and your neighbor wouldn’t hear it quiet. I mean, they would wonder what you were so damn happy about, but they would hear nothing.
I found the toy extremely intuitive to use and immediately appreciated the excellence of the design. I mentioned how lightweight the handle is–it’s perfect because the weight of the business end pulls it down to where it wants to be, and you can maneuver it with almost zero effort.
G-spot Stimulation
I will be the first to admit that I am not a big believer in the G-spot. I’ve had other G-spot toys that I mostly used as vibrators or to insert while I jerked off with my fingers.
I started off using the flattened end as a vibe around my clit, just to warm up and get in the mood. The vibrations are not extremely strong, but it definitely did the trick. Once I got going, I inserted it and found myself…totally not getting off. I was frustrated and worked with it for a little while before I just used the tip on my clit to get off.
But I didn’t give up. I was determined to figure out what all the fuss is about, so the next time I took a bath, I brought my new friend Gigi along to see what kind of trouble we could get into. A bathtub is a perfect place to play with Gigi–at least for me, it is.
First: the flared end means that, when inserted, it is in there, and it can’t just fall out easily. I took my time and probed around, gently letting it work its magic in every possible direction in the hopes that I could find my G-spot. Eventually, I did! And when I finally did, it was just perfect. Not an earth-shattering orgasm, but a nice, sustained, gratifying climax. I probably could have cum a couple more times, but I’d already been in the tub for almost an hour, so I passed.
Bonus: this toy is so quiet that someone inside the bathroom probably couldn’t hear its hum.
Lelo Gigi 2 Settings
There are a lot of settings, and I’m not entirely convinced that any of them are right for me. Some settings offer slow pulses; some have fast pulses, others feel like an engine revving up repeatedly (which feels fantastic). And then, there is the highest variable setting, which feels more like a sonic toy than a g-spot vibrator.
The last setting jumps from very gentle vibration to super-intense vibration and is considerably louder than the other settings. I can’t help but wish that the continuous vibration mode went as high, which it doesn’t seem to do.
Overall, I enjoyed this toy, but it took a little while to win me over. It’s powerful but by no means the most powerful vibrator on the market. What it lacks in power, it makes up for in good design. The dual-purpose function of the flat tip and the perfectly curved shaft are what make this toy great.
Someone who is more familiar with their G-spot might have a different experience, but for me, it was just an excellent opportunity to get to know mine a little better.
How to Clean The Lelo Gigi 2
Gigi 2 is smooth and seamless, which makes clean up easy. You can spray it with LELO toy cleaner and rinse it off, or wash the vibe with warm water and antibacterial soap. You should never use alcohol or any type of solvent to clean your toy. Once it’s clean, pat-dry it with a towel or lint-free cloth.

Should You Buy the Lelo Gigi 2?
On the one hand, I wasn’t in love with the Gigi 2 right out of the starting gate because I couldn’t seem to find my G-spot. On the other hand, once it found its mark, it delivered the toe-curling climax I had hoped for. It is still a bit of work finding the right spot and coaxing an orgasm out of it, but it’s enjoyable work, and I’m not complaining.
